Our Team

Orsi Antal


Orsi has a Level 4 Diploma in Steiner Waldorf Early Years Education which she received in 2003. Since then Orsi has worked as a Parent and Child Group Leader, Kindergarten Assistant and for 5 years as a  Kindergarten Teacher, before setting up The Lindens with Kalihi and Ayumi in 2020.

Recently, Orsi has achieved an Early Years PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University.

Originally from Hungary, Orsi grew up internationally and moved to the UK in 1994. She is married and has two teenage children who went to the Lindens.

Kalihi Hardiman


Kalihi was born and raised in Maui Hawaii and attended the Waldorf school there from kindergarten to class 8.

In 2002 Kalihi moved to Forest Row in East Sussex where she did her Steiner Waldorf Early Years Tarining at Emerson College.  There she met her husband and they moved to Oregon where they had their two daughters.


Kalihi worked as a Kindergarten teacher for 9 years before setting up The Lindens with Orsi and Ayumi in 2020.


Assistant Teacher

Ayumi was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to Stroud in 2002. She has two teenage children who both attended The Lindens Kindergarten, and her partner works for the Biodynamic Association.


Ayumi finished her Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Studies Level 5 in 2014, has 2 years’ experience of running a Steiner Waldorf parent and child group and has been working at Steiner Waldorf kindergartens for 8 years before setting up The Lindens with Kalihi and Orsi in 2020.


Assistant Teacher

Corinne was born in England and was raised bilingual, in German and English. She  went to The Lindens kindergarten herself and then to Wynstones from Class 1 to 12 where she did her GCSEs and A levels. 

She then did a Level 2 NVQ in a childcare setting in Stroud and worked as a nanny for 3 years before coming to work at The Lindens. 

She currently also works at Seasons nursery where she is doing her Level 3 NVQ in Childcare and Education.

Steering Group

The Steering Group at The Lindens is a team of advisors that support and oversee the work of The Lindens Early Years CIC to ensure that we deliver our aim of "providing excellent Early Years education in the heart of the community". The members of this group have been invited to contribute their knowledge and experience in a particular field. Currently these fields are Early Years education including EYFS, and Safeguarding and Welfare.


Deidre Pyzer

Stering group member and Parent and Child Group Leader

Before becoming involved in Kindergarten education, Deidre lived and worked in residential care settings and on organic/biodynamic farms and gardens. Her four children attended various Steiner Waldorf kindergartens and schools, from early years up until class 7/8, before moving on to state secondary school education, university and their careers. The family had experience of a pioneer kindergarten in Oxford, of Michael Hall, York, Sunlands and Wynstones.

Furthering her long held interest in care and education, Deidre received the Steiner-Waldorf Early Years Diploma in 2003. Since settling in Gloucestershire she has broadened her experience from running a rural Kindergarten and Parent and Child group, with kindergarten teaching at the Bristol Steiner School, pioneering the set up and running of the Early Years Department at the Steiner Academy Bristol, and various short term cover positions.


Carol Kirk
Steering Group member

Carol began her working life, and training, as a residential social worker.

After having her own children Carol began to work at the Steiner Academy Hereford as a Kindergarten Assistant and holding afternoon sessions. She pursued her interest in Waldorf education, undertaking the class teacher training course, and subsequently take on a class herself all through from Class 1-8.

While accompanying her parents at the end of life, Carol worked less hours and became both Health and Safety Officer and Safeguarding Lead.

Carol continued her CPD taking part in The Mental Health Seminar and more recently the School Health Practitioners training.


Carol now teaches Religion and PSHE in most classes of the school alongside her roles in the Safeguarding and Support Group teams.
