Orsi
Teacher
Orsi has a Level 4 Diploma in Steiner Waldorf Early Years education which she received in 2003. Since then, Orsi has worked as a Parent and Child Group Leader, Kindergarten Assistant and for 5 years as a Kindergarten teacher, before setting up The Lindens with Kalihi and Ayumi in 2020.
Recently, orsi has achieved an Early Years PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University.
Originally from Hungary, Orsi Grew up internationally and moved to the UK in 1994. She is married and has two children who went to The Lindens.
Kalihi
Teacher
Kalihi was born and raised in Maui Hawaii and attended Haleakala Waldorf school there from kindergarten to Class 8.
In 2002, Kalihi moved to the UK, where she did her Steiner Waldorf Early Years training at Emerson College. There she met her husband and they had two daughters. Kalihi has been teaching in kindergartens since 2011. In 2020 she helped Orsi and Ayumi to set up the Lindens.
Ayumi. Assistant Teacher
Ayumi completed her Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Studies Level 5 in 2014, has nearly a decade of experience working in Waldorf kindergartens as an assistant teacher, and a few years of experience running Waldorf parent and child groups before setting up The Lindens with Kalihi and Orsi in 2020. Ayumi was born and raised in Japan but was strongly inspired by Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood education when she moved to Stroud in 2002 which is one of the hearts of the anthroposophical communities in England and started to discover it more and is keen to deepen her knowledge of Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education.'m a paragraph.
Alni Assistant teacher
Alni (pronounced Ow-nee!) was born and raised in Brazil where she embarked on her studies in Steiner education while working in a Steiner school. In 2011 she came to England, here completing level 3 CYPW (City and Guilds Children and Young People's workforce) and Level 5 in Early Years Steiner Education. She has also worked as an Assistant and taught for 5 years in a Steiner kindergarten before having her first child. She moved to Stroud quiete recently, attracted to the wonderful community and beautiful area, and is delighted to be joining the Lindens.
Elle
Assistant Teacher
Elle is from Lancashire, North West of England.
She has recently completed an Early Years PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University and is in her second year of the Level 4 Diploma in Steiner Waldorf Early Years Education.
During her studies she worked at Bristol Steiner School and a Reception class in Bristol. Elle is very pleased to have joined the Lindens community.
Deidre Parent and Child Group Leader
Before becoming involved in Kindergarten education, Deidre lived and worked in residential care settings and on organic/biodynamic farms and gardens. Her four children attended various Steiner Waldorf kindergartens and schools, from early years up to class7/8, before moving onto state secondary education, university and their careers. The family had experience of a pioneer kindergarten in Oxford, of Michael Hall, York, Sunlands and Wynstones.
Furthering her long held interest in care and education, Deidre received the Steiner-Waldorf Early Years Diploma in 2003. Since settling Gloucestershire she has broadened her experience from running a rural Kindergarten and Parent and Child group, with kindergarten teaching at the Bristol Steiner School, pioneering the set ups and running of the early Years Department at the Steiner Academy Bristol and various short term cover positions.
Manuela Parent and Child Group Leader
Manuela was born in northern Italy, where she grew up in a village nestled between the mountains and a lake. After completing her degree in Psychology, she moved to Bristol and became a mother to three girls.
Her first encounter with Steiner education, which profoundly influenced her approach to family life and education, occurred when she joined a parent and child group at the Rowan Tree Kindergarten with her eldest daughter, who is now 17 years old. Since then, she has actively engaged in the school community, volunteering and establishing a craft group for the parents.
In 2020, she moved to Stroud and the following year, she achieved the Level 3 qualification at the Holistic Baby and Child Care course organized by Emerson College.
Joining the Lindens Kindergarten presents an exciting opportunity for Manuela to share her experiences as a mother with young families and support them on their own unique journeys.
