For Our Prospective Parents

Dear Parents,

We are happy to confirm that a small core group has formed and we have been busy working towards reopening this wonderful setting for the children. There is much to do and some hurdles to cross, but our aim is to be able to welcome children from September.

Initially, we will operate as a homeschool hub, which means that we will only be able to look after children for the limited amount of time of 2 hours a day. Our hope is that by January, our  registration will have come through and we can open as a fully working early years setting with a kindergarten, nursery and parent and child groups.

For those of you not familiar with it, the Lindens is in Lower Street,  one of the oldest streets in Stroud. The building is large, full of character and filled with happy memories of over 30 years of children’s play. It has a large kindergarten room, and a smaller room that will be used for the younger ages and a lovely garden to explore.

We know that many of you are eager to help, and this is very welcome. Current social distancing regulations mean that we are restricted in what we can do, and need to work in small groups focusing on the administrative aspects of the process. There are however some alterations and improvements to be made on the building, and we need tradespeople to do that for us. So if  you know a plumber, builder, electrician or decorator who is available now/soon, please let us know. In time, we will also be organising workdays where you can get involved to help us get the garden and building ready, and to get to know The Lindens.
