Deidre

Parent and Child Group Leader

Deidre first came across Steiner Waldorf education via her involvement in organic horticulture in the 1970s and a visit to Emerson College and biodynamic farm, in Sussex.
This led her to 4 years living and working in the Camphill Schools in Aberdeen, which were a rich and formative influence, and where her deep interest in puppetry was born.
As a parent of four, and as a kindergarten practitioner and parent and child group leader, Deidre has had extensive experience in a variety of schools and independent early years settings in Britain. She received the Steiner Waldorf Early Years Diploma in 2003.
Deidre has 6 grandchildren and is still passionate about care of the earth and of each other.

Manuela

Parent and Child Group Leader

Manuela was born in northern Italy, where she grew up in a village nestled between the mountains and a lake. After completing her degree in Psychology, she moved to Bristol and became a mother to three girls.

Her first encounter with Steiner education, which profoundly influenced her approach to family life and education, occurred when she joined a parent and child group at the Rowan Tree Kindergarten with her eldest daughter, who is now 17 years old. Since then, she has actively engaged in the school community, volunteering and establishing a craft group for the parents.

In 2020, she moved to Stroud and the following year, she achieved the Level 3 qualification at the Holistic Baby and Child Care course organized by Emerson College.

Joining the Lindens Kindergarten presents an exciting opportunity for Manuela to share her experiences as a mother with young families and support them on their own unique journeys.
